The WEX Health Payment Card allows Health Care FSA participants to simply swipe a debit card to draw on their account. Participants don't have to pay out of pocket or manually file a claim when they swipe the card, making the Plan easier to use.

Many major retailers, such as Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Fred’s and Kroger, have adopted systems that can determine, at checkout, which items and services are eligible under FSA. These systems, known as inventory information approval systems (IIAS), only allow the WEX Card to pay for the eligible expenses. 

This means participants don't have to submit a receipt or other document to prove they used the card to pay for eligible expenses. The IRS requires 3P Benefit Solutions to capture specific information in order for us to verify a purchase made with your debit card. Therefore, some substantiation may be required.
